So, what’s Fondue?
Fondue is a local literary project that exists so more of us can enjoy words—in Eora and beyond.
Whether you’re a writer looking for an audience, an audience looking for a good time or an apprentice bricklayer who doesn’t read much but wants to know what all the fuss is about, Fondue’s got something for you.
We’re an independent organisation who rely on support from our community to keep things running. If you can spare it, we really appreciate all donations, one-off or recurring.
Events
From humble beginnings throwing little get-togethers in our homes, Fondue continues to host regular open mic reading events that bring word-lovers together. We’ve grown a lot since those backyard days, but our spirit remains the same: everyone is welcome around the Fondue pot.
We’ve been fortunate enough to gather on Gadigal and Wangal Country while working across Eora. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, extending that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples throughout Australia.

The shape/shift anthology of short prose is our very first full-length book. This publication brings together writers from around Australia, diverse backgrounds and various experience levels, working across styles and genres. This is our most ambitious project to date, celebrating our transformation into a small press publisher.
